Job summary

This post is for a Senior Clinical Fellow in Frailty post. This is a Fixed term whole-time post offering SCF post on the Whiston site of Mersey West Lancashire, an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Medic to join a dynamic, rapidly expanding team delivering multidisciplinary acute care in Mersey and West Lancashire Teaching Hospitals.

The successful candidate must hold full registration with the GMC at the time of appointment.

Main duties of the job

• Contribute to the Frailty wards Whiston.
• Work in the medical team in the Ambulatory SDEC in the Frailty Unit.
• Support the management of patients on frailty/rehab wards.
• Participate in the initial assessment and management of patients on in ED and the acute frailty unit.
• Liaise with other members of the clinical team and other specialties.
• Work closely with the Consultants, FY1's, CT Trainees and ANPs about management of patients.
• Develop skills in managing the wards to avoid unnecessary patient delays and maintain good clinical care to all patients.

We provide the Mersey Regional Burns & Plastic Surgery Unit at Whiston Hospital and the Spinal Injuries Unit at Southport Hospital to more than 4 million people across the whole of Merseyside, West Lancashire, Cheshire, Isle of Man and North Wales.
