Main duties of the job

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high standards of nursing care to patients within a General Surgery and Urology Surgery ward setting.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care throughout the inpatient surgical pathway.
• Administer medications and treatments safely in line with NMC guidelines and local policies.
• Monitor and record patient observations, escalating clinical concerns appropriately.
• Support patients pre and post-operatively, ensuring safe and effective recovery care.
• Work collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure excellent patient outcomes.
• Provide compassionate, professional, and patient-centred care to all patients and relatives.

18 Week Support has partnered with a specialised and dynamic NHS Trust in the Dorset region who are looking for experienced Theatres Ward Nurse to assist with their referral waiting lists.

Location: Dorset

Work Pattern: Saturday and Sunday

Shift hours:8:00-18:00 (10 hour shifts)

Duration: 3 months with the view to extend
