ABOUT THE ROLE Your focus as a Senior Care Assistant will be to support and work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff. Other responsibilities will include: Monitoring the wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any change impacting on care and care plans, ensuring that new needs are met, and written records are amended to reflect any variation.

We are looking for a dedicated individual to join our award-winning team as a Senior Care Assistant at Avery Park Care Home in Kettering, making a positive impact on residents lives daily. As a Senior Care Assistant, you'll work alongside the Care team to deliver high personal care standards, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors, and staff. Other responsibilities include monitoring residents' wellbeing, being involved in care planning, supporting residents' medication requirements, supervising staff, and acting as a key point of contact with residents and health professionals. Success in this role requires living our values of caring, supportive, honest, respectful, and accountable in all you do. Ideal candidates must have an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care, and 2 years of experience in a similar environment. Effective communication, a positive attitude to supporting residents and staff, and responsiveness and flexibility in covering responsibilities are essential. A DBS Disclosure check is required, the cost of which will be met by Avery Healthcare.

Your focus as a Senior Care Assistant will be tosupportand work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open,supportive, andinclusiveenvironment for residents, visitors and staff.

Other responsibilitieswillinclude:

• Monitoringthe wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any changeimpactingon care and care plans, ensuring that new needs aremet,and written records are amended to reflect any variation.
• Beinginvolved in the person-centred care planning process, by implementing,monitoring,and undertaking monthly evaluations.
• Supporting residents with their medication requirements.
• Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff with their development where required.
• Actingas a key point for contact with residents, theirrelativesand visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in their wellbeing, ensuring that any reasonable requests are actedupon,and concerns or complaints are escalated.

Our ideal candidatemust:

• Have an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
• Have 2 years experience working in similar care environment.

• Beresponsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.
