Main duties of the job

As a Food and Beverage Team Member at Avery Healthcare, your primary role will involve supporting residents during dining service and assisting them with their meals. Key responsibilities include guiding residents in choosing their meal options at dining, ensuring dining tables are set according to standard procedures, maintaining cleanliness and presenting front of house areas well, removing and replenishing dirty crockery, and ensuring accessibility of fresh homemade cakes/biscuits, finger food, and fresh fruit options in bistro areas throughout the day. Being aware of residents' dietary requirements is crucial. To excel in this role, you should live by the values of caring, supportive, honest, respectful, and accountable. The ideal candidate will demonstrate high personal hygiene standards, show compassion and commitment to delivering culinary services to residents, and ideally possess experience working in similar settings such as a restaurant or hotel. A basic Food Hygiene Certificate would be beneficial. The role requires a DBS Disclosure check, with costs met by Avery Healthcare, and proof of eligibility to work in the UK.

Your focus as a Food and Beverage Team Member will be to support with the dining service and assisting residents with their meals.

Other responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the residents with choosing their meal options at the time of dining.
• Ensuring that dining tables are set in accordance with the standard operating procedures.
• Keeping front of house clean, tidy and well-presented, and that dirty crockery is removed and replenished throughout the day.
• Ensuring fresh homemade cakes/biscuits are accessible in the bistro areas are replenished throughout the day as well as finger food and fresh fruit options.
• Being aware of residents dietary requirements.
