Job summary

Applications are invited for the post of Locum Consultant in Respiratory Medicine and Acute Medicine (10PAs) to start as soon as possible for a period of 12 months. This Locum post is to cover Respiratory Medicine (50%) and Acute Medicine (50%).

Main duties of the job

The holder will support care of inpatients in General Respiratory Medicine (4-5 ward weeks per year including weekend), and outpatients in General Respiratory Medicine, with a focus on caring for people with COPD as the team roll out biologic therapy for eligible patients with COPD.

The post is joint with the department of Acute Medicine, and the holder will undertake up to 15 weeks (with approximately 5 weekends) per year of Acute Medicine ward Consultant work.

You will be fully registered with the GMC and have a CCT in Respiratory Medicine and either general Internal Medicine or Acute Medicine or be within six months of award of CCT at the time of interview.
