Staff Bank Services successfully provides temporary staffing throughout Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust via a variety of different assignments.

We are looking to register reliable, hardworking individuals who would thrive in a busy environment who are available to work mainly full time rotating shifts days and nights over 7 days. For temporary cover of a shift vacancy, our placement opportunity is within the Environmental Services Portering Team, providing a successful waste management collection service. We are keen to help you develop your existing skills in order to be able to progress into new roles.

We have training and ongoing support available in a variety of areas within the Trust.

Main duties of the job

Environmental Services Porter will assist the Team Leader for the Process and Resource Manager and their staff in providing an efficient waste collection service for all wastes generated from the Trust.

Waste Collectors will assist the Team Leader to deliver the Collection Schedules, including dirty and infected laundry, cardboard / sharps, biohazard / hazardous clinical wastes and recyclables in accordance with a list of duties.
