Are you an experienced Registered Nurse looking for flexible work alongside your existing commitments

We are looking for patient-focused Registered Nurses to join our growing Clinical Homecare Nursing Team as Bank Community IV Nurses

Working in partnership with NHS teams and healthcare professionals you will deliver specialist IV therapies and clinical care to patients in their own homes helping them receive safe effective treatment while maintaining their independence

Bank working offers you flexibility while giving you the opportunity to maintain and develop your clinical skills and deliver meaningful one-to-one patient care in the community

This is a community-based role and regular travel is required Visit locations and working hours will vary according to patient needs and service requirements

Main duties of the job

As a Bank Community IV Nurse you will provide specialist nursing care to patients receiving treatment in their own homes and community settings

You will administer prescribed IV therapies undertake clinical assessments and monitoring and recognise and escalate changes in a patient's condition appropriately

You will support patients throughout their treatment providing education guidance and reassurance to patients families and carers and helping them develop confidence in managing their care at home

Working independently in the community you will be supported by an experienced clinical team and work closely with NHS colleagues pharmacists consultants specialist nurses and other healthcare professionals

Bank shifts will be offered according to patient and service requirements giving you the opportunity to work flexibly while continuing to use and develop your nursing skills

Job description

Key responsibilities will include:

• Deliver safe high-quality patient-centred care in patients' homes and community settings
• Administer prescribed IV therapies and clinical interventions in line with treatment plans standard operating procedures and professional standards
• Undertake patient assessments and appropriate clinical monitoring throughout treatment
• Recognise changes in a patient's condition and escalate clinical concerns appropriately
• Undertake home and community visits for treatment initiation administration ongoing care and follow-up
• Provide appropriate care and management of vascular access devices in line with clinical and infection prevention standards
• Train educate and empower patients families and carers to safely manage treatment and develop confidence and independence
• Provide clinical advice and support while developing strong professional relationships with patients and healthcare professionals
• Identify document and report adverse events and incidents in accordance with relevant procedures
• Maintain accurate timely and comprehensive clinical records
• Ensure medicines clinical equipment and associated supplies are handled safely and appropriately
• Work collaboratively with NHS colleagues pharmacists consultants specialist nurses and wider multidisciplinary teams to support continuity of care
• Organise and prioritise allocated patient visits effectively
• Work in accordance with safeguarding infection prevention medicines management Clinical Governance NMC standards and Inizio policies
• Maintain clinical competence through training continuing professional development reflective practice and evidence-based care
