The Obstetrics and Gynaecology Department in Singleton Hospital, Swansea are looking for an enthusiastic and committed individuals to join their team to undertake a 12-month fixed term FT Senior Clinical Fellow ( LAS) post to start as soon as 5th August 2026 - 3rd August 2027.

This is a full time position and the post holder will be working on a full shift rota.

The on-call team with the consultant includes one SHO and two registrars/resident consultants, (the post holder being one of the registrars).

It is intended that this post will provide an excellent learning opportunity and will enhance individual's CV's.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will be expected to attend outpatient clinics, ward rounds, labour ward and theatre sessions. The post is based at Singleton Hospital, but the successful post holder may be expected from time to time to work in any of the other hospitals in the Health Board or attend any peripheral clinics as needed.

The labour ward in Singleton is a busy unit with approximately 3,600 deliveries a year and is linked to a tertiary Neonatal unit.

This post is not recognised for Training however opportunity to attend teaching and participate in audit and quality Improvement projects will be available subject to the needs of the service.

The successful candidate will be working together with the wider clinical team of Consultants, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Junior Doctors and other Allied Health Professionals to provide high quality, safe and effective clinical care. Working as part of the multi-disciplinary team. The successful candidate will participate on the Full shift rota. Salary stated includes payment for banding supplement for full shift rota
