We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Assistant to join our team at HMP Oakwood, a category C men's Prison located in Featherstone.

We are looking for part time applications to join on a permanent basis to support our pharmacy and healthcare team!   Hours Various part time shifts available

15hrs 23.75hrs 15.31hrs

Salary This position is full time, youll receive an annual salary of £16,186- £18,824 per annum (salary dependent on hours)

Main duties of the job

As a Pharmacy Assistant, your responsibilities will vary. You will

• This role will primarily support during medication rounds out on the residential units and complete any medication management tasks as directed by the Duty Manager during the shift.
• Complete general dispensary duties and stock management
• Be working as an active member of the Pharmaceutical team to ensure delivery of the pharmaceutical service
• Provide a timely and efficient service to the prison wings

Qualifications required

• NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Service Skills/equivalent or working towards
• Medicines handing experience desirable not essential
• Level 2 English and Maths or equivalent
• A non-judgmental and compassionate approach
• Excellent communication skills
• Good IT skills and IT literacy
• Ability to work within a busy environment
• Ability to work unsupervised whilst following policy and procedures
