Job summary

Prioritise, assign, and monitor of maintenance tasks via a CAFM system.

Querying and investigating job statuses, ensuring effective communication at all times.

Performs work of a routine nature.

Responsible for minor repairs and routine planned maintenance activities on Mechanical, Electrical and Building fabrics as directed by management.Ensuring compliance with Trust safety standards and procedures.

Taking all safety measures to prevent danger, avoid injury and prevent damage to equipment.

Main duties of the job

1) Handle telephone, email and other maintenance enquiries from departments across the Trust, recording accurate information and identifying any issue that requires urgent escalation2) Use the CAFM system to receive, log, prioritise and issue reactive maintenance jobs to the appropriate members of the in-house maintenance team.3) Review returned or incomplete CAFM tasks, reassign them to the appropriate trade, or escalate them to the Hospital Engineers or external contractors as required.4) Maintain accurate CAFM records, including job priority, location, notes, progress updates, completion details and any follow-on work required.

You must be able to cope with the physical aspects of the job and have an electrical / mechanical aptitude. Must be capable of working with minimum supervision and be of a responsible character, full training will be provided where appropriate.

This post will require the appointee to obtain, within 3 months, the following training requirements (if not already achieved):

As there is a 12-week probationary period, successful candidates are expected to have the Right to Work for a period of at least 6 months from the proposed start date.
