Job summary

We are looking to recruit to the National Rehabilitation Centre's (NRC) Advanced Clinical Practitioners (Band 8a); this is an exciting opportunity to join the team and be part of this new centre of excellence.

The NRC is a new, purpose-built 70-bed facility which is built on the Stanford Hall Rehabilitation Estate near Loughborough, delivering a centre of excellence to improve rehabilitation services in England. It is co-located with the Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre and will share some of the world class rehabilitation facilities. Research, innovation, training and education in rehabilitation will be embedded at the NRC and central to clinical practice. We are looking for ambitious and dedicated individuals to join this journey to rehabilitation excellence, transforming outcomes for patients. The NRC is fantastic for patients but also for staff to access professional development as well as wellbeing support with use of the state of the art facilities.

Main duties of the job

The NRC ACP role is a key part of the senior leadership at the NRC. They will take responsibility of the site co-ordinator role which involves being the escalation point for any clinical and infrastructure escalations during shift.

The ACP will use specialist knowledge and skills to provide healthcare autonomously to patients in their area. The ACP is accountable for independent clinical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with undiagnosed and undifferentiated conditions. In addition to this the ACP is also responsible for appropriately referring patients to relevant specialities for any necessary investigations as well as facilitating safe patient discharge.
