Job summary
This is a full-time 37.5 hrs a week combined Consultant Psychologist role, working across two areas:
- 22.5 hrs a week- Adult Neighbourhood MH Services
- 15 hrs a week- Neurodevelopmental Disorders Service
The post holder will provide strategic and clinical leadership across Adult Neighbourhood MH and Neurodevelopmental Services, leading the development of neuroaffirmative and psychologically informed approaches that improve care for autistic people, individuals with ADHD and wider neurodivergent populations with complex mental health needs.
Working collaboratively with operational leaders, the post holder will provide specialist psychological consultation, formulation, and clinical expertise to multidisciplinary teams. They will support service improvement and the development of innovative and accessible pathways that enhance the quality and experience of care.
The role will play an important part in shaping the development and transformation of both services, representing psychology within Trust-wide clinical forums, and supporting teams through periods of change. The post holder will also champion staff wellbeing, learning and development, helping to build confident and skilled teams that deliver compassionate, person-centred, and inclusive care.

Main duties of the job
My job makes better lives by guiding, supporting, supervising and developing the workforce in providing services within the Trust, taking into account changes and developments in line with the Trust Clinical Strategy and reflecting national and local demands. By providingstrategic leadership in the development and provision of clinical services.
This role will work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary colleagues, service leads and the Associate Director of Therapies to develop and continuously review the strategy for the delivery of a full range of psychological services and the development of psychological mindedness across all services.
To lead and/or contribute to service improvements, change programmes and business developments as required.
To plan and deliver expert clinical interventions, consultation and training.
