- We are seeking enthusiastic an Medical Educator who want to be part of a friendly and supportive team.
- Applicants must hold full GMC Registration and have recent NHS experience.
Main duties of the job
Clinical Education Fellows are an essential and valued part of the Medical Education Team at George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust.
This role involves working 100% of your time within Medical Education. We deliver medical education in partnership with Higher Educational Institutions such as Warwick Medical School. You will be working within a modern education facility, which includes clinical skills rooms, seminar rooms, lecture theatre and a simulation suite.
In addition, you will have the opportunity to complete a funded Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education programme at the University of Warwick. This is a fixed term appointment for 9 months.
Job description
Duties will include:
- Bedside teaching including sourcing and consenting patients
- Delivering interactive tutorials and case based learning
- Running teaching clinics with volunteer patients, acting as faculty for accredited courses.
- Supporting delivery of simulation opportunities
- Supporting teaching and assessing of procedural skills.
- Taking part in student assessment and feedback delivery.
