Leading Progression, Possibility and Positive Change.
Are you an experienced social work leader committed to strengths-based practice and supporting adults with complex needs to achieve the outcomes that matter most to them?
Bridgend County Borough Council is looking for a Social Work Team Manager who can combine strong practice leadership with a commitment to innovation and service development to lead our Commissioning for Complex Needs Team.
This is a unique opportunity to combine social work leadership with service development. Alongside leading a skilled team, you will use insight from practice to influence future accommodation, care and support opportunities for adults with complex needs across Bridgend.
You will champion person-centred and least restrictive approaches, promote strengths-based practice and help shape services that support independence, choice and control.
About the Role
As Team Manager, you will lead a dedicated team supporting adults with complex needs, creating a culture of professional curiosity, reflective practice and continuous improvement.
You will champion strengths-based practice and positive risk-taking, ensuring people remain at the centre of decision-making and are supported to achieve the outcomes that matter most to them.
The team has a unique role within Adult Social Care. Through assessments, reviews and quality assurance activity, it provides valuable insight into current and future accommodation, care and support needs. You will use this learning to help inform service development and future commissioning priorities.
Working closely with colleagues across social care, health, housing and the independent sector, you will build strong partnerships that support innovative and effective solutions for people with complex needs.
