Main duties of the job

Your focus as a Senior Care Assistant will be to support and work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff. Other responsibilities will include monitoring the wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any change impacting on care and care plans, ensuring that new needs are met, and written records are amended to reflect any variation. You will also be involved in the person-centred care planning process, by implementing, monitoring, and undertaking monthly evaluations. Support residents with their medication requirements, undertake staff supervisions, support staff development, act as a key contact for residents and handle reasonable requests, concerns or complaints.

Your focus as a Senior Care Assistant will be tosupportand work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open,supportive, andinclusiveenvironment for residents, visitors and staff.

Other responsibilitieswillinclude:

ABOUT YOU

Our ideal candidatemust:

  • Have an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
  • Have 2 years experience working in similar care environment.
  • Have the ability tocommunicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Have a positive attitude to bothsupporting and nurturing residents and staff.
  • Beresponsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.
