Main duties of the job

The role of a Senior Care Assistant at Agincare involves leading and delivering high-quality, person-centred care while supporting residents with personal care, dignity, and independence. Senior Care Assistants are responsible for safely and accurately administering medication, contributing to and reviewing care plans, and leading activities, outings, and meaningful engagement. Additionally, they support and guide team members and are expected to step up when needed. Candidates must have a minimum of 12 months right to work in the UK, hold a Level 2 in Health & Social Care (or be working towards Level 3), and have experience as a senior care assistant and in administering medication. The position requires working 36 hours per week, including alternate weekends. Agincare offers up to £13.91 per hour depending on experience, a refer-a-friend scheme, career development opportunities, fully funded training up to QCF Level 5, and a Blue Light discount package, among other benefits.
