Job summary
We are looking for an Out-patient Front of House Receptionist to support Out-patient department. The successful candidate will be expected to provide a courteous reception service to patients and clinicians, work closely with nursing and medical staff, manage the booking of designated follow up appointments and work effectively as part of the out-patient team.
The successful candidate is required to be able demonstrate the Trust values, the responsibilities of the job description and person specification. In particular you should have proven experience of working in with the public in an administrative position. You will be expected to give excellent customer care in a busy and high pressured working environment, working across multiple out-patient clinic locations. You should also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a high attention to detail and accuracy. Working shifts are 8am- 4pm and 10am-6pm - Monday to Friday.

Main duties of the job
To provide a courteous reception service to patients and clinicians in line with officeprocedures, contributing to the overall efficient and effective running of designatedoutpatient clinics. To work closely with Supervisor, nursing and medical staff to ensure that anyissues in clinic are raised immediately to maintain an excellent level of service topatients. The post-holder will work as part of the Outpatient's team, ensuring and efficient,high quality and timely service is provided. This includes providing a welcomingand professional service to patients To manage the booking of designated new & follow up clinics and ensure that these are booked efficiently and that any booking issues are raised immediatelywith supervisor , Service and medical staff to ensure patient care is notcompromised.
