We Are Looking For:
- A qualified Band 5 Podiatrist wanting to develop strong skills and progress to a Band 6 Podiatrist / Band 6 depending on clinical experience with a passion for community-based care.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to lead and motivate others, while remaining open to learning and growth.
- A team player who's excited to innovate, embrace new ideas, and help shape our evolving services.
- A commitment to inclusive and person-centred care, ensuring every patient feels seen, heard, and supported.
Main duties of the job
As a Development Podiatrist, you will provide high-quality assessment, diagnosis, treatment and ongoing management for patients with a range of lower-limb and foot health needs, supporting them to maintain mobility and independence.
You will work collaboratively with Podiatrists and other health and care professionals to deliver safe, coordinated and person-centred care, seeking guidance from Band 6 and Specialist Podiatrists where appropriate.
This is a structured development opportunity. You will undertake clinical rotations and receive regular supervision and mentoring to develop your clinical knowledge, confidence and decision-making skills.
Working with your manager, you will identify your learning needs and work towards the agreed competencies required to progress to Band 6 level.
You will:
- Deliver safe, evidence-based podiatry care to a diverse patient population.
- Develop your assessment, clinical reasoning and caseload management skills.
- Work collaboratively across community and multidisciplinary services.
- Participate in clinical rotations to broaden your experience.
- Engage in supervision, mentoring and continuous professional development.
- Build the knowledge, skills and competencies required to progress from Band 5 to Band 6.
