You will demonstrate critical thinking in the clinical decision-making process.

Main duties of the job

This Lead Nurse position at Mitchison Road Surgery is a permanent role offered by Operose Health with a salary between £48,000 and £49,500 depending on experience. You will work collaboratively with the general practice team to meet the needs of patients, supporting the delivery of policy and procedures, and providing nurse leadership as required. In order to work at this level NMC requirement for advanced practice must be met.
  • In addition to the responsibilities above the post holder will support the Regional Lead Nurse and act as a deputy as required to ensure a high level of quality and standards at all times.Will be involved with the implementation and monitoring of all clinical aspects by demonstrating clinical excellence in conjunction with the site clinical lead and assist with the implementation of any nursing / ACHP redesign and quality strategies to ensure a high quality nursing / AHCP team.

  • First Level UK registered nurse / Registered AHCP with at least 2 years post qualified experience.
  • Non-medical Prescriber.
  • Demonstrates sound evidence of academic links.
  • Extensive clinical experience in Primary Care Health settings and managing nursing teams.
  • Understanding of the Lead Role.
