Working alongside the Quality and Safety Lead and the Practice development Lead, you will support service development, champion quality improvement, nurture professional growth, and contribute to a culture where everyone feels valued, heard and empowered.
This role is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which will be arranged and paid for by the hospice.
Please note that this role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
The salary range shown is based on the Hospice's full-time equivalent (FTE) of 37.5 hours per week. For positions of 36 hours or lower, the salary will be calculated on a pro rata basis according to the contracted weekly hours.

Key Responsibilities
Clinical Leadership
Provide visible clinical leadership, acting as a role model for excellence in specialist palliative care.
Coordinate and support the nursing team to deliver safe, compassionate and effective care.
Ensure care is holistic, responsive and tailored to the individual needs and preferences of patients and families.
Promote independence, dignity, privacy and choice for every patient.
Support the assessment, planning, delivery and evaluation of care using evidence-based practice.
Maintain accurate, timely and high-quality clinical documentation.
Manage and triage advice line calls, providing guidance and appropriate signposting.
Support safe medicines management in accordance with professional standards and organisational policies.
Support workforce planning to ensure safe staffing levels and an appropriate skill mix.
People Leadership
Create a positive, supportive and inclusive team culture where colleagues feel valued and empowered.
Support the recruitment, onboarding and retention of a skilled, engaged and high-performing workforce.
Undertake appraisals and development conversations that encourage learning, development and career progression.
Support registered staff with NMC revalidation requirements.
Promote staff wellbeing and psychological safety.
Provide leadership, guidance and constructive feedback to staff and volunteers.
Support the management of change in a positive and collaborative way.
Communication and Relationships
Build strong relationships with patients, families, carers, volunteers, colleagues and external partners.
Communicate complex or sensitive information with empathy, honesty and professionalism.
Contribute effectively within the multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated care.
Develop collaborative relationships across health, social care and voluntary sector organisations.
Ensure clear, accurate and timely communication, records and reports.
Education, Learning and Development
Support a culture of continuous learning across the organisation.
Deliver and participate in education, induction, mentoring and training programmes.
Support students, learners and new colleagues in developing their confidence and clinical skills
Share specialist palliative care knowledge and act as a resource for others.
Maintain and develop your own professional knowledge and leadership capability.
Contribute to the development of clinical policies, procedures and guidelines.
Quality, Governance and Innovation
Champion high standards of clinical care, safety and professional practice.
Support clinical audit, quality improvement and research activity.
Monitor and manage clinical risk in collaboration with the clinical leadership team.
Promote a culture of learning through incident reporting, reflection and improvement.
Support implementation of outcome measures, service evaluation and data collection.
Contribute to service development projects that improve patient and family experience.
Ensure compliance with CQC standards and regulatory requirements.
