Each of the 4 partners are GP Trainers and all our team members are encouraged to supervise, mentor and teach the future general practice workforce. Additionally, we are very proud to host the Training Hub for Mid Mersey who are responsible for the education and development of the current and future primary care workforce.

The Team

The five partners are Dr Steve Cox, Dr Sue Hyde, Dr Claire Clarke, Dr Claire Fletcher and Dr Stewart Hale.Additionally, we have 9 Salaried GPs, 3 Nurses, 2 nurse associates and 1 Advanced Nurse Practitioner and commission pharmacy support from Ashburton Prescribing. We also have a broad mix of GP Assistants, Patient Care Advisors and other roles who are provided by our PCN. Each of the two practices have a Practice Manager in Place and they are led by a Business Manager.

Main duties of the job

Job Responsibilities

The Patient Care Advisor / Administrator is responsible for providing high-quality administrative and front-line support to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the practice. The postholder will deliver excellent patient service, manage appointments and enquiries efficiently, maintain accurate patient records, and support the clinical and management teams in delivering safe, patient-centred care.

Key duties include:

  • Welcoming and assisting patients in a professional and courteous manner
  • Managing telephone calls, appointment bookings, and patient enquiries
  • Processing prescriptions, referrals, and administrative documentation
  • Maintaining accurate and confidential patient records in line with practice policies
  • Supporting clinicians and the wider practice team with administrative tasks
  • Ensuring compliance with NHS regulations, data protection, and confidentiality standards
  • Assisting with general office duties to support the effective operation of the practice
