Title: Band 6 Gateway Worker (Senior PWP / OT / Nurse / Social Worker Psychologist)
Contract: Band 6 12 month fixed-term contract. Full time (37.5 hours per week). Part time job share opportunities are available for existing Newham Talking Therapies staff depending on interest from other applicants.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a PWP, OT, Nurse, Social Worker or Psychologist to join our Gateway Team.
We are one of the leading national Talking Therapies / IAPT services and we are keen to recruit an experienced clinician who is passionate about service users accessing the right service and having a good experience while they do this.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will assist our service users in moving smoothly through the referral, treatment and discharge processes within the Talking Therapies service and to and from other services in their designated Borough. They will play a pivotal role in ensuring that service users experience ease of entry to and a seamless transition between services, and that service users feel supported to access the right service at the right time even when their needs are complex and may involve input from multiple teams.
Your caseload may also include treatment cases appropriate to your level of training as agreed by your line manager.

This post is offered as a 12-month fixed term contract. It is a full time (37.5 hours per week) post. Part time job share opportunities are available for existing Newham Talking Therapies staff depending on interest from other applicants. Our Gateway Workers typical work 9am to 5pm each weekday and currently come on site 1 day a week on Mondays. All shift patterns are changeable depending on service need.
