Following training the post holder will be expected to participate in the efficient running of specimen reception, dissection and slide preparation areas. There will also be slide and tissue archiving and maintenance of laboratory stock. The successful candidate will also be able to learn and develop skills such as tissue embedding and microtomy of histology blocks and megablocks.

Candidates with some knowledge of histological processes could be considered for trainee MTO band 2 positions with in-house training and progression to band 3 when training is complete.

Working Pattern: 37.5 hours Monday-Friday 0830-1700
