Healthcare Assistant

Village Health Group

Village Health Group (VHG) is looking for an enthusiastic, caring and motivated Healthcare Assistant to join our friendly and supportive primary care team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Healthcare Assistant, or someone looking to develop their career within general practice. We are looking for someone who is committed to providing high-quality, patient-centred care and who enjoys working as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Training and Development

We are committed to supporting the development of our Healthcare Assistants. Where appropriate, training will be provided to enable you to develop additional clinical skills and undertake further procedures safely and competently.

We encourage our staff to develop their knowledge and skills and to contribute positively to the ongoing development of our practice.

Working Across Our Sites

Village Health Group operates across four GP sites: Keyworth, East Leake, Ruddington and Sutton Bonington.

The successful applicant will therefore need to be flexible and willing to rotate between our sites according to service requirements.

Main duties of the job

A full UK driving licence and access to suitable transport are required, as the role will include undertaking home visits.

About Village Health Group

Village Health Group is a large GMS practice caring for approximately 28,000 patients across Rushcliffe, South Nottinghamshire.

The practice was formed in April 2020 following the merger of East Leake Medical Group and Keyworth Medical Practice, both of which have previously been rated Outstanding by the CQC.

We operate across four sites, with our main sites in East Leake and Keyworth, and branch surgeries in Ruddington and Sutton Bonington.

Our clinical team includes:

  • GP Partners
  • Salaried GPs
  • Nurse Practitioners
  • Practice Nurses
  • Healthcare Assistants
  • Clinical Pharmacists
  • First Contact Physiotherapists
  • Social Prescribing Link Workers
  • Care Coordinators

We are well supported by local community nursing and therapy teams and have a well-developed model of multidisciplinary working.

We use SystmOne as our clinical system.

We are a friendly, enthusiastic and well-organised practice, committed to providing high-quality patient care while continuing to develop and improve our services.

Village Health Group is part of the PartnersHealth GP Federation and the Rushcliffe Primary Care Network (PCN).
