We areseekinga highly motivated and enthusiastic Support Secretarywho can provide excellent secretarial and administration skillstojoin our dedicatedSecretarial Team within the Community Paediatric Service.
The roleinvolves supportinga team ofConsultantsand other health professionals.You should have excellentaudiotyping skillsand experience (preferably within an NHS setting)and be computer literatewith a broad experience of Microsoft Office packages.You will need to behighlyorganised witha flexible approach to yourwork and have excellent communicationand team working skills.You will need to beself-motivated to manage your ownworking time effectively.
Main duties of the job
To provide professional, comprehensive and confidential administrative support to the relevant health professionals and their team.This includes typing and formatting of correspondence, clinicalletters, reports and policies from handwritten, dictated, paper, or electronic information in line with Trust corporate guidelines.To work collaboratively with other administrative colleagues andsupport staff.
Audio-typing, copy typing and formatting of clinical letters and reports where follow up actions as required.appropriate; meeting timescales as directed by your line manager.To take minutes of meetings, type and distribute to all members of staffWord processing, which may include letter, memos, notes, record cards, messages and email communication.Collate, provide, receive and appropriately store (manually and electronically) sensitive and confidential information,Maintain administrative systems set up in team offices to ensure an organised and efficient working environment for staff.Responsible for assisting with the booking of team training and responsible for maintaining local training recordsUndertake reception duties if required.To attend meetings, training and briefing sessions appropriate to either your job specific role or, as a staff member of the Trust.
