Job summary
The role of the Systemic Family Psychotherapist and Neurodevelopmental Sub Team Lead is to provide a specialist family and systemic psychotherapy service to children and young people with mental health problems across all sectors of care as part of a multidisciplinary CAMHS service, including specialist family assessment and therapy for service users and their families/carers, and advice and consultation to non-systemic psychotherapist colleagues and the wider professional network. You will be joining a vibrant team of professionals and systemic psychotherapists who regularly attend discipline meetings and CPD events.
The post holder will be based in Westminster CAMHS as part of the Neurodevelopmental Team, providing generic CAMHS assessment and intervention alongside specialist systemic psychotherapy interventions. They will contribute to care plans and highly specialist assessments of children with complex presentations including ADHD, ASD, and OCD, and support formulation and treatment planning in line with best practice, evidence-based interventions and NICE guidance. Westminster CAMHS is open Monday - Friday (9am - 5pm), excluding bank holidays .
The Neurodevelopmental Team MDT takes place weekly on Thursdays, thereforeattendance on this day is required.
Candidate will be expected to work Monday, Thursdays & Fridays.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the service's policies and procedures.
The post holder will provide clinical supervision to Band 7s within the service, B7 family therapists and family therapy trainees, including live supervision within the Family Therapy Clinic, however this is not limited to Family Therapist and . They will also be the Sub-team Lead for the Neurodevelopmental Team, holding senior clinical and operational responsibilities and working with consultants, sub-team leads, borough leads and the team manager & service manager.
The Neurodevelopmental Team is jointly led by a Consultant Psychiatrist and Senior Clinical Psychologist. The post holder will join the leadership structure as Sub Team Co-Lead, sharing responsibility for service delivery, clinical leadership and operational performance.
The post holder will provide clinical supervision to Band 7's within Westminster CAMHS Service as well as B7 systemic psychotherapists and trainees, including live supervision within the Systemic psychotherapy Clinic.

Key Responsibilities
1. Roles and Responsibilities for the Sub-team Lead
Be responsible and accountable for the teams service performance.
Ensure provision of high-quality, evidence-basedand cost-effective care for children and young people accessing the team and service.
Provide clinical leadership for the sub-specialty team.
Working in collaboration with the other Sub-Team Lead and Consultant Psychiatrist to deliver outcomes for the team.
Implement and embed the CAMHS clinical model of brief intervention through defined care pathways.
Contribute to systems for achieving agreed targets, including evaluating capacity and clinical activity to improve waiting times and throughput.
Provide assurance that staff accessappropriate casemanagement and therapy supervision in line with Service Line and Trust policies.
Support evaluation of clinical outcomes atsubspecialistteam level.
Create a culture of continuous quality improvement and contribute actively to servicequality-improvementinitiatives.
Contribute to the local Care Quality and Performance Group and clinical-effectiveness systems and processes.
Support review of skill mix and recruitment to deliver serviceobjectives.
Participate in planning,distributionand allocation of clinical, administrative,professionaland managerial tasks.
Contribute to evidence-based clinical practice and guidelines, local partnership work and stakeholder meetings when delegated.
2. Clinical
Deliver generic CAMHS assessments of children and young people referred to the Neurodevelopmental Team within required timescales.
Contribute to Neurodevelopment Assessments, Conduct ADHD assessments and Contribute to Autism assessments as required (training for this can be provided within the role).
Formulate and implement evidence-based care plans across the full range of care settings.
Implement a range of short- and long-term systemic psychotherapy interventions for individuals, carers,familiesand groups within the Neurodevelopmental Pathway.
Evaluate treatment options using relevant theoretical and therapeutic models and consideration ofhighly complexfactors.
Exercise autonomous professional responsibility for assessment,treatmentand discharge.
Provide specialistsystemic consultation, formulation, expertise and guidance that contributes to assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning and multidisciplinary decision-making.
Undertake risk assessment and riskmanagement, andadvise other professionals on these matters.
Act as care coordinator or lead professional,initiatingand reviewing CAMHS care plans.
Communicate assessment,formulationandtreatmentinformation in a skilled and sensitive manner.
Participate in the community dutyrota.
Support the dutyrotaas lead on-site a few times a month.
