Are you an experienced electrical professional with a passion for safety, compliance and quality? If so, this is an exciting opportunity to join L&Q’s maintenance service and play a key role in keeping our residents safe.

As a Qualified Supervisor, you'll be at the forefront of electrical compliance across our in-house workforce, helping to shape best practice, uphold the highest technical standards and drive continuous improvement. Your expertise will directly contribute to delivering safe, compliant homes while ensuring our electrical services meet regulatory requirements and organisational expectations.

This is a high-impact role that combines the responsibilities of an Electrical Supervisor and Qualified Supervisor (QS), with accountability for electrical compliance across our Direct Labour Organisation (DLO). You'll provide technical leadership, oversee inspections and certification processes, support audits and ensure all electrical works are carried out in line with BS 7671 and industry standards.

Reporting to the Electrical Compliance Manager, you'll work closely with maintenance supervisors, electricians and compliance colleagues to enhance service quality, reduce risk and promote a culture of safety and excellence.

If you're looking for a role where you can make a real difference, we'd love to hear from you.

Your impact in the role:

Act as the organisation's Qualified Supervisor (NICEIC).

Lead and oversee electrical compliance across all DLO activities.

Carry out inspections, audits and quality assurance activities to ensure the highest standards of work.

Ensure compliance with BS 7671, statutory regulations and internal policies.

Manage electrical certification processes and maintain accurate compliance records.

Provide technical support, guidance and mentoring to electricians and supervisors.

Identify trends, risks, training needs and opportunities to improve service delivery.

Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance quality, safety and operational performance.

Promote best practice and drive a strong culture of compliance across the workforce.

What you'll bring:

Essential

NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation including AM2 (or equivalent).

18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).

Inspection & Testing qualification (2391, 2394 & 2395, or equivalent).

Proven experience as an Electrical Supervisor, Qualified Supervisor (NICEIC or equivalent), or within an electrical compliance role.

Strong understanding of electrical inspection, testing, certification and regulatory compliance.

Full UK driving licence.

Desirable

Experience working within social housing, property maintenance or a DLO environment.

Knowledge of NHF Schedule of Rates (SOR).

Excellent attention to detail and confidence in challenging non-compliant practices.

Strong communication, coaching and stakeholder management skills.

A proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.

At L&Q, you'll be joining one of the UK's leading housing associations, helping us provide safe, sustainable homes and services to residents across the country.

You'll have the opportunity to shape electrical compliance standards, influence service delivery, lead continuous improvement initiatives, and play a vital role in protecting residents and colleagues while supporting the development of our in-house maintenance teams.

If you're passionate about electrical safety, compliance, leadership, and delivering high standards, we'd love to hear from you.
