Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Nurse led Specialist Respiratory team at the James Paget University Hospital for 1xBand 3 (37.5 hours per week)Stop Smoking Advisor'sto be part of the multidisciplinary team, caring for patients with tobacco dependence.

This is to support the implementation of the NHS long term plan for treating tobacco dependency within the acute trust.

Main duties of the job

The Stop Smoking Cessation Advisor will be responsible for providing support to adult patients who are admitted to James Paget University hospital to help them stop smoking.

The role requires to undertake individual patient assessments and provide evidence-based advice and support to patients within recommended protocol and guidelines. An onward referral to the appropriate community smoking cessation service for follow up will be required.
