Job summary
We are looking to recruit a Salaried GP for 2 sessions per week (Thursday) with the potential to increase sessions and future partnership to join our GP team in a busy well established suburban practice. As a Salaried GP you will be responsible for delivering the highest standards of clinical care for all registered and temporary patients. Our current list size is circa 6500, with a GOOD CQC rating and we are, regularly high QOF achievers.
We would love to hear from dynamic, committed and caring GPs, who can demonstrate a strong work and team ethic, we are offering a salary of £11K - 11.5k per session dependant on experience and duties.
The post-holder will be expected to adhere to GMC standards for good medical practice, leading by example and maintaining a positive, collaborative working relationship with the multidisciplinary team.
The starting date for the position is February 2027.

Our team comprises 2 forward-thinking GP Partners and 2 salaried GPs who work closely with an ANP, Clinical Pharmacist, PCN Home Visiting Service, Practice Nursing Team & Social Prescriber.

Main duties of the job
Job responsibilities
As a Salaried GP, your role involves:
- In accordance with the practice timetable, as agreed, the post-holder will make themselves available to undertake a variety of duties, including surgery consultations, telephone consultations and queries, visiting patients at home, checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, paperwork and correspondence in a timely fashion.
- Making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from other health care workers within the organisation
- Assessing the health care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems
- Screening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness
- Developing care plans for health in consultation with patients and in line with current practice disease management protocols
- Prescribing in accordance with the practice prescribing formulary (or generically) whenever this is clinically appropriate
- In general, the post-holder will be expected to undertake all the normal duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care.

Greasby Group Practice has 2 GP Partners, we also have 2 Salaried GP's and as a teaching practice we also have GP's in training and medical students.
We are a suburban practice with approximately 6500 patients and are also part of Healthier West Wirral PCN.
Our wider team consists of ANP's, Nursing Team, Administrators and Reception Team.
