Job summary

We're looking for a friendly, organised and customer-focused individual to join our Diabetes and Endocrinology team as a Receptionist.

As the first point of contact for patients, you'll play a vital role in creating a positive and welcoming experience from the moment they arrive. Whether greeting patients, managing appointments, answering queries or supporting clinicians with administrative tasks, you'll help ensure our outpatient service runs smoothly and efficiently every day.

Working within our busy specialist service, you'll work closely with clinical and administrative colleagues to coordinate appointments, maintain accurate records and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering exceptional customer service as part of a supportive and dedicated team.

Main duties of the job

Provide a professional reception and administrative service, including welcoming patients, managing enquiries, maintaining accurate records on our patient database, coordinating appointments, and supporting patient care through effective communication with clinical teams and external services. Provide administrative support to the Diabetes and Endocrinology service, including clinic preparation of patient documentation, working collaboratively with clinical and secretarial teams to support efficient service delivery.
