SPORT AND ACTIVE LIFESTYLES APPRENTICE (COACH)

25 hours – £8.00 per hour / £200 per week

rising to National Apprenticeship Wage relevant to age after 12 months

This is a role that is crucial to our communities, and if you’re passionate about sport, we want to hear from you. It’s an exciting opportunity, and you’ll be completing the Level 2 Community Activator Coach qualification alongside the job role.

You’ll assist the team to manage and deliver holiday camps and volunteering in the community and leisure centres as well as visiting local businesses to support our corporate wellbeing initiatives. This is all to increase new opportunities for people in Newark and Sherwood to be active.

This, level 2 qualification and apprenticeship, is worth over £6,000. You need to have some knowledge in sport and leisure, alongside GCSE passes in Maths and English (grade 4 or above or equivalent). It would also be beneficial to have volunteer experience or a National Governing Body, Level 1 sports coaching award, although not essential.

Following the completion of this apprenticeship, the postholder will have the skills and experience to progress onto a sports development, community or coaching position in the industry.
