Main duties of the job

As a Healthcare Assistant at The Loxford Practice within Operose Health, youll join a team dedicated to enhancing primary care access, outcomes, and patient experiences. Your role involves assisting patients and supporting the clinical team, focusing significantly on patient care and CQC compliance. Responsibilities cover working with long-term condition patients and carrying out clinical procedures like phlebotomy and health checks. Administrative duties include patient registrations and stock management. Ideal candidates should have primary care and phlebotomy experience, adaptability, basic PC skills, and professional boundary awareness. Main Responsibilities: As a valued member of the Operose Health team, your key duties will include:

  • Assisting with patient duties as required and support other team members such as clinical and Nurse Lead with patient care.
  • Supporting the Practice with duties related to CQC outcomes and ensuring compliance is maintained.
  • You will be working with patients with long term conditions such as Diabetes etc. So must have experience in Phlebotomy.
  • Provide clinical procedures such as new patient health checks, BMI, blood pressure, pulse and simple wound care.
  • Completing administrative tasks such as new patient registrations, providing appropriate leaflets, stock control and ordering.

Ideal Candidate: What we look for in new colleagues:

  • Experience in a Primary Care setting and phlebotomy.
  • Able to work within processes, procedures and maintain confidently and data security.
  • Must be able to adapt with changing priorities and be personable, polite and patient with our patients.
  • Must have basic PC skills such as Word, Excel and email.
  • Ability to use own judgement and be aware of professional boundaries they are working to.
