About the Role

Education Operations has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Faculty Timetabling Officer to join our team at a time when we are looking to transform our approach to timetabling. As part of a pilot project, the role will bridge central and departmental professional services, allowing you to gain insights into the inner workings of a broad range of areas. As well as providing a key operational service, you will be responsible for designing improvements and contributing to the ongoing project to implement new timetabling software.

Our goal is to deliver a service that reflects the University’s vision of ‘Excellence with Purpose’ by underpinning our service with the University’s core values. The post-holder will work closely with the faculty and departmental administrative teams and interact with the senior leadership of the departments to produce timetables that meet teaching requirements and to identify the approach that will optimise the timetabling processes and outputs.

The University aims to move to a more coherent and effective mode of operation for timetabling, and this role will be instrumental in exploring the possibilities and shaping our future direction. There is potential for the role to continue beyond the 1-year fixed term.
