About the role

The Department of Brain Sciences is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced individual to fill the role of Undergraduate and Postgraduate Coordinator.

The post will play a crucial role in overseeing education administration within the Department, reviewing and streamlining processes and improving efficiency and effectiveness in the running of UG&PGT programmes to ensure a positive student experience. In addition to carrying out programme administration and line management responsibilities.

What you would be doing

Programme Administration : You will provide comprehensive support to students, guiding them through their academic journey. You will work closely with academic programme teams, the Faculty Education Office team and other administrators to manage multiple teaching and learning activities, including producing timetables, support during teaching periods, management of Virtual Learning Environments and overseeing the assessment process, including organisation and oversight of exam boards.

Line Management : You will provide supervisory and developmental support to UG&PG Administrator(s) within the Department. You will also play a key role in our wider education team working closely with the UG&PG Co-ordinator for Dept of Metabolism, Digestion & Reproduction on team initiatives, training and ongoing improvements.

Wider Department input and oversight : you will work closely with the Education Manager and education team colleagues to establish best practice for processes relating to aspects such as project calls, marking allocations, student support, cohort building and marketing and recruitment.

What we are looking for

Previous experience in a higher education setting, particularly in a customer-facing role

Effective analytical and problem-solving skills

Experience of negotiation & influencing to gain the desired result

Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to deal confidently with students, staff and external stakeholders

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team, providing help and assistance when needed

Coordinating or supervising other staff including their professional development.

Effective organisational skills, with the ability to manage one’s own workload and prioritise tasks appropriately

This is a Full time, Open Ended contract based at our Hammersmith Campus but may also be expected to travel to other campuses as required.
