Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated Administrative Clerk to join our administrative team within the Nephrology Department based at Aintree University Hospital.

It is expected that all applicants will be able to demonstrate proficient administrations skills, basic skills in Microsoft Word and Excel be able to manage their time effectively and be able to work as part of a team.

The successful candidate must be able to undertake general administrative duties including reviewing clinic utilisation, they will possess excellent organisational skills, be confident in planning their own workload and be able to use their own initiative working to strict guidelines, both individually and as part of the wider team.

Typing skills in particular audio typing skills will be advantageous.

Main duties of the job

To provide a comprehensive administration service to the Nephrology Team.

You will work closely with the Secretarial team and provide support were necessary, the successful candidate will be required to run various reports and provide feedback which will directly influence our performance.

You will monitor appointments that become available and ensure these are filled where possible, you will speak to our patients to ensure they attend their appointments and offer suitable alternatives where possible/available.

You will be able to organise your own workload and co-ordinate activities with other members of the team to ensure an efficient service is provided.

It is essential that you show initiative commensuratewith the role and it is vital that confidentiality should be maintained at all times.

Communicate with all disciplines of staff and patients throughout the Trust and other bodies both internally and externally.

Deal with all queries in a confidential and competent manner and general office duties.
