Main duties of the job

As a Care Assistant at Avery Healthcare, your primary focus will be delivering high standards of personal care. You will be part of a care team ensuring continuity of services to residents, assisting them in personal hygiene care with respect for their dignity and independence. You will need to recognize and understand clinical risk areas in residents, such as weight loss or risk of falls, and escalate any identified risks accordingly. Experience is not required as comprehensive training will be provided to build confidence in your role. Successful candidates will need to communicate effectively, show initiative, be respectful towards residents, and adapt to various responsibilities as needed.

Your focus as Care Assistant will be to deliver high standards of personal care, contributing fully to the care team to ensure continuity of services to residents.

Other responsibilities will include:

• Assisting residents in all their personal hygiene care ensuring optimum independence, dignity and respect of individuals at all times.
• Recognising and understanding clinical risk areas in residents such as weight loss, pressure sores, risk of falls, sign of infections and escalate any identified risks in a timely manner.
• Acting courteously towards residents and their visitors, respecting the dignity and individuality of each resident.
• Practicing safe systems of work across the range of task.
