We have an exciting fixed-term opportunity for a Band 5 Speech and Language Therapist to join our Adult Community Speech and Language Therapy Service in Solihull. This communication-focused role offers the chance to work with adults with a range of acquired communication disorders across community settings, including patients' own homes, care homes and outpatient clinics.

Based at Solihull Hospital, within walking distance of Solihull town centre and excellent transport links, you will be joining a friendly and experienced team committed to providing person-centred, evidence-based care. We are passionate about supporting staff development and offer regular supervision, peer support and opportunities to develop your skills in a rewarding community setting.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will manage a defined caseload of adults with communication difficulties, providing assessment, intervention and review within community settings across Solihull.

You will work closely with patients, families, carers and multidisciplinary colleagues to develop and deliver person-centred therapy programmes that maximise communication, participation and independence. The role includes undertaking home visits, maintaining accurate clinical records, contributing to service development activities, and participating in supervision and continuing professional development.

We are looking for someone with excellent communication and interpersonal skills who can work effectively both independently and as part of a team. You should be organised, adaptable and committed to delivering high-quality care. Support and supervision will be provided by experienced senior Speech and Language Therapists, making this an excellent opportunity to develop your clinical skills and confidence within a supportive community service.
