Homelessness Team Leader

Salary Scale 6 (£41,177- £45,529) per annum

37 hours per week

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Homelessness Team Leader to join our Housing Services team and lead a frontline team supporting people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.

You will provide effective leadership and supervision to Homelessness Case Officers, ensuring high-quality homelessness prevention and relief services are delivered in line with the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017. You will also manage your own caseload, provide expert advice on homelessness legislation, support reviews and appeals, and work closely with partners to develop effective housing solutions.

We’re looking for someone with at least two years’ housing experience, strong knowledge of homelessness legislation and preventative housing practice, and experience of supervising a customer focused team. You’ll need excellent communication and organisational skills, the ability to work under pressure, and a sensitive and inclusive approach when working with people in housing need.

This role will require a Basic Disclosure and Barring Service check (known as a DBS check). All offers of employment will be made conditional upon receipt of the satisfactory DBS check.
