Our Dementia Services provides a day centre group for individuals living with mild to moderate dementia. Our clients, who live either independently or with family members, enjoy a social setting where they can engage in activities such as music, singing, arts and crafts, and quizzes.
This is a role that requires a special type of person; it requires you. You have the commitment to care, the dedication to people, as well as the communication and organisational skills to support our clients.
Qualifications and skills:
experience in a similar role within dementia services or social care
excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to be creative and provide a range of activities
Good team player and ability to work on own initiative
The role
The role involves supporting the Dementia Services Manager in the daily operations of the service, ensuring a social day centre approach that promotes independence and inclusivity for clients with mild to moderate dementia.
Responsibilities include delivering person centred activities to enhance social, physical and mental wellbeing
Covering for the Dementia Services Supervisor when needed, maintaining service documentation, and training.
The role also involves maintaining confidentiality and safeguarding practices, and building effective relationships team members, clients, and carers.
