An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Greater Gwent (Torfaen) Pension Fund for a highly motivated individual to join the Pensions Team for the role of Pensions Systems Manager.
AbOUT US
The overall function of the Pension service is to administer the Local Government Pension Scheme in South East Wales on behalf of 68,000 members across 54 employers. The main role of the post holder will be to support the Pension Manager in improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the Pension Administration Service and oversee the management of the Systems Team.
The Council sets high expectations for its services and must secure the services of a person able to deliver these. This post is thus an opportunity for a suitably qualified and experienced professional with a high level of IT and Project Management skills to manage the Systems Team and drive the service forward.
THE ROLE
The successful candidate will have experience of managing a team, including managing workloads, and have a high level of knowledge of computer databases, including knowledge of data manipulation and interrogation.
You must be suitably experienced and/ or qualified and have extensive knowledge of pension administration systems and associated technology.
This role will involve agile working. This will allow you to work between home and office work location, giving you greater flexibility about where and when you work and to allow for ongoing support, development and collaboration with colleagues
