About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to come and join our team.
The role is 37 hours a week Monday to Friday hybrid working. You will be working as a paralegal supporting solicitors with court work and other non contentious areas of work, liaising with clients and working flexibly across the department as required. Some work will be done at home or at court but with the majority of time in the office.
About us
You will benefit from joining an established team of nineteen legal staff divided into three sub teams along the areas of work the Solicitors specialise in - namely family law (adult and children including education) prosecutions and litigation and property and planning.
Many of the staff have trained and been promoted from within the organisation and you will join a supportive environment committed to staff development.
You will receive training and support (as part of the Conwy conversation) to develop in the role and within the organisation and also benefit of being part of the Conwy County Borough Council team who value their staff and provide flexible working arrangements and other staff incentives reflecting this.
About you
You will be an enthusiastic and innovative team player who is interested in serving the local community through providing legal advice and support to client departments.
You will be keen to embrace challenges and act on your own initiative and you will be provided with an exciting range of legal work opportunities not found outside of local government. The work includes high value/profile work for benefit of the local area and assisting with decisions that impact on the day to day lives of local citizens.
You will have excellent communication skills and benefit from close working relationships with colleagues and other disciplines within the Council and external organisations too.
